Google Opens Text Guidelines to All Advertisers

Google has expanded beta access for text guidelines to all advertisers in AI Max, across Search and Performance Max campaigns.

This update offers brands more control over ad messaging, ensuring creative outputs remain on-brand even as AI automates much of the process.

Advertisers can now set exclusions for specific words or concepts using natural language, such as avoiding phrases like ‘only for’ or directives like ‘don’t imply our products are cheap.’

The feature supports all languages and verticals, letting advertisers guide Google AI to respect unique brand standards at scale.
