Profit bidding pilot was first mentioned in April. Now, on Google Marketing Live 2024 it was officially announced as a new goal for Search and Performance Max campaigns.
The profit data can be based on either cart-level conversions and the cost of goods sold.
Google shared that this new bidding strategy brings an average of 15% uplift in campaign profit.
It is possible to switch between profit and revenue goals without disrupting the performance.
