Google Ads Expands Promotion Mode to Daily Budgets

Google is rolling out Promotion Mode in Google Ads, first announced in September 2025 for total budgets and now expanded to daily budgets. Still in beta, the feature is available for Search and Performance Max campaigns and is designed for temporary events such as flash sales.

Advertisers can schedule ROAS tolerance changes and additional spend for a defined promotion period, temporarily overriding standard budget controls. Once the promotion ends, the campaign automatically returns to its regular settings.

One limitation is that baseline ROAS targets cannot be changed during an active promotion, making it important to finalize targets before the sale begins. Unlike Google’s seasonality adjustments, which account for expected changes in conversion rates, Promotion Mode directly adjusts budget and ROAS tolerance during the promotional period.
