Google Ads has quietly added a new auto opt-in feature called Resized videos in Demand Gen campaigns under Asset Optimization settings.
When enabled, Google automatically creates alternate aspect ratios of your video assets to improve coverage across surfaces.
This new setting joins other automatically enabled features including:
- Shorter videos: Trims longer video creatives into short, high-impact variants
- Landing page screenshot: Generates visual assets from your landing page
Advertisers should review these settings within their Demand Gen campaigns to ensure they align with brand and creative strategy. These features may be active by default without manual opt-in.
