Performance Max for Marketplaces Spotted Live in Shopping Ads

Performance Max for Marketplaces was first mentioned in May 2024 when Google launched an official help page about this new campaign subtype.

Now, Hana Kobzová spotted this ad type live in Shopping ads in the Czech Republic.

UPDATE: This ad format is called CSS Product Listing Ads (pointed out by Rob Longmate). While CSS and Marketplaces can be the same entities, these are different that Performance Max for Marketplaces.

Results appear alongside standard product results, with a few key differences:

  • It displays the lowest price available from the most affordable store participating in the CSS selling this product, followed by “+ others” to indicate additional prices are available.
  • At the bottom, it displays an approximate number of sellers participating and offering this product.

The link directs the user to the product page on the CSS website, which includes a list of sellers along with additional details such as the description, reviews, and more.
