Google Expands AR Beauty Features in Shopping

Three smartphone screens showcase shopping results using Google AR Beauty Features: the first displays "red lipstick" with images and prices, the second highlights "foundation" with product options, and the third features a woman's image alongside makeup selections and prices.

Google has expanded its AR beauty features, first introduced three years ago. What began with the “Try on” feature for lips, eyes, and foundation now includes hair color.

The hair color try-on feature is launched for mobile devices only at the moment.

The foundation try-on feature has been upgraded. Users were already able to view it on a diverse set of 148 models, but now they can virtually try it on themselves.

Additionally, mobile web users can soon expect the addition of lip and eye makeup to the feature.

Two smartphones display Google search results for "red lipstick" and "foundation," enhanced by Google AR Beauty features. Both screens show products, images, prices, and store details under Shopping ads. The interface includes filters and sponsored sections, elevating the virtual shopping experience.

Over 50 beauty brands, including Covergirl, Dior Beauty, Fenty Beauty, Laura Mercier, and Makeup by Mario, have incorporated these features.
