Google has announced a new ad placement for livestreams on YouTube, showing both on the web and on TV.
The livestream will shrink to make room for the ad (hence the side-by-side format name), and the ad audio will temporarily replace the stream’s audio.
This ad type will appear only if the channel is monetized and monetization is turned on for the livestream.
