Google Ads has announced an update to its Healthcare and medicines policy that will allow certified online pharmacies to promote prescription drug services in India starting April 2026.

To qualify, advertisers must be certified through LegitScript’s Healthcare Merchant Certification Program and then apply for Google approval once applications open. Prescription drugs themselves cannot be promoted in ads or on landing pages, only the related services.

This change introduces a new pathway for pharmacy advertisers in India while maintaining strict compliance requirements. It follows similar healthcare-related policy updates seen earlier.
