Adaptive Layouts Rolling Out to Demand Gen Image Ads

Google Ads is introducing Adaptive Layouts for single-image ads in Demand Gen campaigns, starting September 4, 2025.

A Google Ads email announces new asset optimization for Demand Gen Single-Image Ads, detailing adaptive layouts, image and headline updates, and a settings deadline of 4 September 2025 for enhanced ad performance.

This update will automatically generate optimized layouts by adjusting image cropping, text placement, and aspect ratios to improve ad performance across more placements.

The system may also overlay text onto images, so advertisers are encouraged to review creatives before the rollout. This setting will apply by default to all new and existing Demand Gen image ads unless manually opted out before the deadline.

While the feature aims to increase reach and CTR, it offers less control over final visuals without active management.
