First Screenshots of Image AI Editing Features in Google Ads

The AI image editting features were announced in May, but now, Hana Kobzová spotted them live for the first time.

Edit image features

The following image editting options are available at the moment. All are currently in BETA.

Image crop

The default feature shown when the Edit image window opens.

Replace background

It lets you to remove background using AI and to restore it if necessary. There is an option to use a brush to remove or restore background manually.

Adjust color

It allows you to adjust the basic image features, such as brightness, contrast, saturation, etc.

The image editing interface features advanced Image AI tools in a sleek toolbar on the right, offering options to adjust brightness, contrast, saturation, sepia tone, hue, and invert colors. At its core is a placeholder image of mountains and a sun.

How to access these AI image editting features?

Google implemented a link to get to these features in various places within its online interface.

You can access them from the following spots:

Via Shared library when adding a new image asset to the ad. It can be found within “More actions” (three-dot icon) where “Copy and edit with AI” is the only option at the moment. Or by clicking on the icon located on the bottom right of the thumbnail.

Via Shared library > Asset Library
