Starting September 2024, Google Ads is sending out email notifying advertisers about simplifying Content suitability settings. Here are the specific changes:
- Content tag exclusions (DL-G, DL-PG, DL-T, DL-MA, Untagged Content) for YouTube ads will be removed but remain available for Display Network inventory.
- Exclusions for embedded YouTube videos, YouTube live streams, and family-friendly content (CAF) will no longer be supported at the video campaign level but will be available at the account level.
Many options will remain available as exclusions at the campaign and ad group levels.
These changes will be automatically applied to all existing and new campaigns.
Advertisers don’t need to take any action but should review their settings in “Tools” > “Content suitability.”
