New notification started to appear in Google Ads account in European Economic Area asking advertisers to review which Google services can receive consented personal data.
The message shows: “Verify data consent settings – Review which Google services can receive consented personal data from the European Economic Area (EEA)“
Upon opening the notification, two options are presented:
- Share the information with all Google services
- Restrict access to certain specific services
You can also access this setting through Tools and settings > Google tag > Manage data use across Google services.
For now, this setting will not have any impact until the Digital Markets Act (DMA) comes into effect.
