Data Consent Setting Verification

The Google settings page titled "Manage data use across Google services" offers data consent options. Choose to share with all services (recommended) or specify ones like Ads, Maps, Play, Search, Shopping, and YouTube. A blue "Save" button confirms your setting verification choices at the bottom.

New notification started to appear in Google Ads account in European Economic Area asking advertisers to review which Google services can receive consented personal data.

The message shows: “Verify data consent settings – Review which Google services can receive consented personal data from the European Economic Area (EEA)

A warning message with an exclamation mark inside a triangle indicates a Google OAuth access error, highlighting the importance of data consent. Options to "Dismiss," "Learn more," or "View" are displayed on the right side with a yellow button.

Upon opening the notification, two options are presented:

  • Share the information with all Google services
  • Restrict access to certain specific services

You can also access this setting through Tools and settings > Google tag > Manage data use across Google services.

For now, this setting will not have any impact until the Digital Markets Act (DMA) comes into effect.
