Google Ads Makes Lead Import Troubleshooting Easier

On September 23, 2025, Google Ads rolled out enhanced diagnostics in the UI for Enhanced Conversions for Leads, giving advertisers clearer visibility into import implementations and errors.

What’s New:

  • New Alert: “Importing limited user-provided data” to flag missed UPD-only conversions (no GCLID).
  • Improved ‘Tagless’ Status: Valid imports with GCLID + UPD but no Google Tag are now marked Good, not Urgent.
  • Smarter Prioritization: Import issues are prioritized over tag issues.
  • Full Alert View: All alerts are now visible upfront.
  • CLICK_NOT_FOUND Removed: Both from Diagnostics UI/API and UploadClickConversions debug responses.
