Store Sales Coming to Google’s Data Manager

Google is integrating Store Sales into the Data Manager in Google Ads, facilitating easier import of in-store transaction data for eligible advertisers. This feature allows advertisers to connect existing sales data, such as from a CRM or Google Sheets, directly within their Google Ads account.

Store Sales measurement links physical location purchases to prior ad interactions and is useful for reporting and Smart Bidding, optimizing toward store sales, or integrating offline revenue with online conversions.

Advertisers can upload first-party store sales data through manual or scheduled uploads, Data Manager, the Google Ads API, or approved store sales partners.

This integration aims to streamline technical processes, rolling out by the end of September.

However, access to Store Sales is restricted to eligible advertisers, with some features limited to allowlisted users. Customer data must be hashed before uploading, with Google Ads offering hashing using SHA-256 during the upload process.

Dynamic conversion value reporting requires transaction data within the last 30 days, with daily or weekly uploads recommended. More information is available in the eligibility documentation.
