Google has announced that they will expand channel controls to all available ad surfaces in Demand Gen campaigns globally starting in March.

Advertisers will be able to choose where their ads appear:

  • YouTube in-stream
  • YouTube in-feed
  • YouTube Shorts
  • Discover
  • Gmail
  • Google Display Network

Yes, you see that right. Google Display Network will become a part of Demand Gen too, which will allow advertisers to reach over 90% of the global internet population.

Now, you can create campaigns tailored to specific formats, like a Demand Gen campaign for Shorts or Gmail (something previously available with Discovery campaigns).

Here’s the official announcement: New ways to help you drive performance with Demand Gen.
