Google has announced significant enhancements to the Data Manager API, allowing for uploading store sales conversions to Google Ads and expanding support for Google Analytics event ingestion. This update introduces a streamlined workflow that replaces multiple offline jobs with a single API request for store sales conversions.

Among the enhancements is the ability to send any event to Google Analytics web and app data streams, as long as they are not reserved events. This alternative to the Measurement Protocol supports important metadata, such as app instance ID and event location. Event routing can also be configured using Firebase App ID or Measurement ID, streamlining the process further.
For users, upgrading existing store sales workflows will unlock additional features, while enhanced event sending capabilities simplify the connection to Google Analytics.
