Google has significantly upgraded its Demand Gen with the latest Gemini models, enhancing intent signals across its ecosystem.
According to Google, Demand Gen now uses Gemini models to better understand user intent by analyzing signals across Search, YouTube, and Maps. The goal is to predict what users may want next instead of relying only on passive social engagement signals.
Google says this helps advertisers reach users earlier in the decision making process and improve campaign performance. The company also revealed that advertisers using Demand Gen alongside Search or Performance Max campaigns are seeing stronger results, including higher ROAS and sales effectiveness.
Advertisers are informed that YouTube combined with Google yields over double the long-term ROAS compared to linear TV and other platforms.

The integration allows for seamless insights and optimization, demonstrating that in 89% of purchase journeys, consumers utilize Google and YouTube before turning to other major social media channels.
According to Google, users come to YouTube with stronger intent by actively searching for content or returning to watch creators they already follow. Google says this behavior drives deeper ad engagement and shared research claiming that YouTube ads rank #1 in attention compared with streaming platforms, social media, and linear TV.
