Google has announced its annual update to the Merchant Center product data specification, introducing new attributes and future changes to improve product data quality and shopping experiences.

Starting April 14 2026, the following updates are taking effect:
- New delivery attributes such as handling cutoff time and minimum order value at product level (already seen in October 2025)
- A new optional video link attribute for submitting product videos (first seen in September 2024)
From June 30 2026:
Videos submitted via the video link attribute will become eligible to serve, with policy and quality validation checks introduced. Any issues will be reported in the Needs attention section, and errors will block the video but not the product offer.
From January 31 2027:
Image requirements will increase to a minimum of 500 by 500 pixels. Warnings are already being issued, and Google may automatically improve smaller images using AI upscaling or similar high resolution versions to prevent disapprovals.
