Starting October 28, 2025, Google will update its Gambling and Games policy to explicitly ban sweepstake casinos. This clarification means these game types are not eligible for certification and any existing certifications for advertisers promoting sweepstake casinos will be revoked.

Sweepstake casinos are being added as an example of disallowed social casino content, reinforcing Google’s stance against monetizing gambling-style games that simulate betting or prizes without real-money transactions.

Advertisers currently running campaigns in this category should prepare to pause or revise them before the policy takes effect.
