Starting February 17, 2025, Google Ads will update its Gambling and Games policy for the Philippines, allowing ads from state-licensed gambling operators in addition to state-run entities.

Key Changes:

  • State-Licensed Operators Allowed: Online casinos, lotteries, bingo, and sports betting will be permitted for state-licensed entities.
  • Location-Based Gambling Prohibited: Ads for physical gambling establishments will remain disallowed.
  • Online Non-Casino Games Banned: Google will continue to prohibit ads for online games that involve wagering money or valuables for potential winnings.
  • Certification Required: All advertisers must be certified with Google before running gambling-related ads.
