Thomas Eccel noticed that after months of testing, Pause Ads are rolling out in Google Ads.
First introduced in March 2024 as a new ad format for YouTube Select, Pause Ads are now available through Demand Gen and Premier Reach Video campaigns.

These ads appear on connected TVs and in the mobile YouTube app when a viewer pauses a video for 10 seconds and takes no action for an additional 5 seconds.
This rollout expands Pause Ads beyond premium placements, offering broader reach across devices and campaign types.
