Canada Cannabis Ads Pilot to Government Operators

Google has updated its Canada Cannabis Pilot Program, first launched in August 2025.

The pilot eligibility now includes authorized government operators in addition to federally licensed advertisers.

The program allows limited cannabis-related ads on Google Search in Canada for up to 20 weeks, helping assess user interest and guide future policy direction.

Users can opt out of seeing these ads via My Ad Center.
