Google Updates Political Ads Policy and Verification Guidelines

Starting July 2025, Google will roll out updates to its Political content policy and Election Ads verification pages. The revisions will include updated ad format eligibility rules, clarified requirements for election ad disclosures, and expanded options for submitting verification documents and revocation requests.

In addition to policy changes, Google is also refreshing the layout and wording of the policy pages to improve readability and usability.

Advertisers running election-related campaigns should review the updated Political content policy and Election Ads verification pages once changes go live.
