Microsoft Advertising has introduced Audience Generation, an AI-powered tool currently in closed pilot in the U.S. and Canada. This feature lets advertisers describe their ideal customer using text, allowing Microsoft AI to create precise audience targeting settings.
For instance, typing a prompt like “Brooklyn-based consumers aged 20-45 with disposable income, attending concerts and pop-up events this spring, and looking for nearby shopping and dining options” will result in recommendations for demographics, locations, and in-market signals.
AI will generate custom-tailored audiences, streamlining the targeting process without manual assembly, platform logic to decode, or selecting pre-set segments.

This update aims to enhance the efficiency of campaign setups and provide advertisers with tailored options for their target audience.
