Google has updated its earlier March 2 announcement about physical goods subscriptions for alcohol and now says the policy will take effect on March 31, 2026.

The change applies to eligible merchants in the United States and covers offers such as wine clubs.

To comply, merchants must still follow all standard Alcoholic beverages policies, use the Google product category Alcoholic Beverages with ID 99676, and add the subscription cost attribute to the product feed. Google also says each landing page can support only one subscription price, and that price must reflect the full non discounted recurring payment.
