Checkout on Merchant Now Available in the U.S.

Three smartphone screens display a U.S. online store for natural skincare: browsing products, selecting shipping, and viewing a Merchant checkout order summary for Roship & Hibiscus Facial Cleanser with online payment, totaling $48.80.

Google has officially launched “Checkout on Merchant” in the U.S., allowing shoppers to move from product discovery to checkout without leaving the ad.

Checkout on Merchant shows in the following surfaces:

  • YouTube In-stream via Demand Gen & Performance Max
  • Display ads via Performance Max
  • Organic shopping results

Early data shows an 11% lift in conversions, making this a powerful new tool for ecommerce brands.

To enable it, you’ll need to add the checkout template via your Google Merchant Center or product feed.

Currently, Checkout on Merchant is only available in the United States with global rollout expected in H2 2025.
