Google Ads has rolled out the “Conversions (Campaign Type)” column in beta for Demand Gen campaigns, offering a refined way to measure performance. This new column factors in view-through conversions (VTC), providing insights specific to Demand Gen, distinct from other Google Ads campaigns.

Illustration of a user journey: a person icon, a circular arrow labeled "Demand Gen" with 0.25 credit, emphasizing the Performance of a Demand Gen Campaign, a shopping cart labeled 0.25 credit, a magnifying glass labeled "Search" with 0.5 credit (akin to optimizing Google Ads), and finally, a shopping bag. Note: credits are example numbers.

It allows advertisers to compare Demand Gen campaign performance with other advertising platforms by isolating conversion attribution to Demand Gen touchpoints and including VTCs in conversion metrics.
