Starting October 29, 2025, Google Ads will update its Healthcare and Medicines policy, changing how advertisers can use prescription drug terms in ads, landing pages, and keywords.

  • In Canada, New Zealand, and the U.S., advertisers can promote prescription drugs if compliant with local laws. Certification is required for keyword targeting and certain business types.
  • In other countries, promotional use of these terms remains prohibited, though limited non-promotional use is allowed.
