Google Opens Doors to Gambling Ads in Cameroon & Namibia

Starting August 19, 2025, Google will allow online gambling ads in Cameroon and Namibia—but only for licensed operators.

What’s allowed?

  • Sports betting
  • Online games
  • Gambling-related lotteries

License requirements:

  • Cameroon: Must be registered with Agence de Régulation des Jeux
  • Namibia: Must be licensed by the Gambling Board and the Lotteries Board

Advertisers must apply for certification to run ads in these regions.
