Google Merchant Center Moves Settings to Sidebar

Two Google Merchant Center dashboard screenshots compare a “old” and “new” layout. The new dashboard features settings simplification, showing 5.21K clicks and more metrics, while the old version displays 2.47K clicks—both with performance graphs.

Google has introduced a subtle but helpful update to the Google Merchant Center interface by relocating the Settings menu from its previous home in the top-right corner to the main sidebar.

Until now, settings like Business info, Data sources, and Access and services were tucked away behind the familiar gear icon. That icon has now been removed entirely.

Instead, you’ll find a dedicated Settings section clearly labeled in the left-hand navigation panel, aligning the layout more closely with other options within the Merchant Center interface.

While no functional changes have been made to the tools themselves, this UI refresh is designed to make the Merchant Center easier to navigate, particularly for new users who may have previously missed or misinterpreted the gear icon.
