Google Launches ‘Popular Products’ Insights in Google Merchant Center

Google is rolling out the new Popular Products tab in Google Merchant Center Analytics, giving advertisers powerful insights into what’s trending on Google and how their own inventory stacks up.

You can find it under Analytics > Products > Popular products tab.

It provides the following personalized information based on your catalog, availability, and region:

  • Your popular products on Google
  • Your popular brands on Google
  • Top-selling products on Google
  • Consider stocking more products from brands you sell
  • Your products that are out-of-stock
  • Brands that are gaining popularity on Google

It allows advertisers to identify your top-selling items, discover what’s out of stock, and explore rising brands or products customers are increasingly buying on Google.

The tool updates weekly and lets you filter by category, time, and geography.

It’s currently available in the following countries: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Belgium, Canada, Chile, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, and United States.
