Smarter Product Filtering Now Available in Google Merchant Center

A Google Merchant Center dashboard displays 57.5K total products and 2.16K sale price suggestions, with red arrows highlighting the refresh icon. Smarter filtering options and various product filter tags appear below the search bar.

Emmanuel Flossie shared an update that Google has launched a new AI-driven search feature in Google Merchant Center Next.

When you click on “Products”, you’ll now find a “Search for Products” icon that uses AI to create smart, plain-English filters for your product data.

You can now easily:

  • Find manually added products
  • Spot out-of-stock products still getting clicks
  • Highlight items with high impressions but low clicks
  • Identify visible products with no engagement

The tool also improves downloading by applying your active filters correctly.

This feature is rolling out gradually and may not yet be available in all accounts.
