Google is updating its Cryptocurrencies and Related Products Policy to clarify advertising rules for speculative financial products in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Starting February 26, 2025, cryptocurrency exchanges and software wallets targeting UAE users must be licensed by one of the following:

  • Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA)
  • Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (VARA)
  • Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA)

Advertisers must also obtain Google certification and comply with all local laws. Violators will receive a 7-day warning before any account suspension.
