Google Ads has introduced a new “Custom search terms” section for YouTube campaign. This feature, located under the “Additional audience segments“, allows advertisers to include search terms based on users’ search activity.

The new column functions similarly to Custom segments but is integrated directly into the audience setup for YouTube campaigns.

Ads will target users who search for the specified terms or similar ones on Google properties.

Sensitive keywords will be used contextually or not at all.
