Google has officially published an update set to roll out in December, which clarifies the types of locations eligible for use as Location assets within Google Ads.
Locations that will not be allowed as Location assets include:
- Locations that are closed
- Locations that are not recognized by Google
- Locations that do not match the business running the ad.
- Assets with products or services that do not match the specified location.
The update to location assets was first spotted at the beginning of November in an email sent by Google that was shared by Navah Hopkins. Now, an official announcement has been published. Read the official announcement: Update to Location asset requirements.
