On July 28, 2026, Google Ads will expand its Alcohol policy, allowing promotions for alcoholic beverages in new geographic locations. Advertisers can market products that meet local Alcohol by Volume (ABV) requirements, up to the maximum permitted for each region.

The updated list of countries includes Botswana, Brazil, Croatia, and South Korea, among others. Advertisers must ensure compliance with specific ABV limits and adhere to local laws, avoiding targeting ads at minors. The official Alcohol policy page will reflect these changes once the update takes effect.
