Video reach campaigns in Google Ads can now utilize automated bidding as a beta feature. This eliminates the need for a manual Target CPM. Instead, Google automatically sets and adjusts bids to ensure the full budget is spent.
Creating video reach campaigns with this feature allows advertisers to leave the bid field empty. Advertisers retain the option to set a Target CPM, letting Google maximize impressions or views at or below this cost. The change simplifies setup and is particularly beneficial for campaigns aiming for brand awareness.

Advertisers can switch between automated and manual bidding during campaign creation, within ad group settings, from reporting tables, or when duplicating campaigns. Supported campaign subtypes include Efficient reach and Non-skippable with a target CPM.
