No API Support for Smart Campaigns Creation

Changes to Support for Smart Campaigns in Google Ads API

Starting on August 3, 2026, the creation of new Smart Campaigns via the Google Ads API will no longer be supported. Advertisers can still update and manage their existing Smart Campaigns, which will continue to serve ads.

In place of Smart Campaigns, Google recommends exploring other campaign types such as Performance Max, which serves across Google’s ad network, as well as Search and Demand Gen campaigns.
