Google Tests Sticky Gmail Ads on Mobile

Google is piloting a new ad location inside Gmail on mobile devices. These ads appear as a sticky banner with a grey background and bold text, making them stand out in the inbox view.

In the example shown, it’s dynamic remarketing ad with an image, brand name, and price displayed in the overlay. Most ads are served via Demand Gen and Performance Max campaigns, providing another attention-grabbing spot for advertisers.

The update marks a significant expansion of ad placements within the Gmail app, creating fresh opportunities for visibility.
