Google has introduced cross-source filtering in Looker Studio, allowing advertisers to apply a single filter across multiple data sources without blending them first.
Previously, to filter by a shared dimension, like country or campaign name, across datasets such as Google Ads, Google Analytics, and Google Sheets, users had to blend the sources manually.

Now, advertisers can define a common ID across sources using the ID override feature under Resource > Manage field names and IDs. This allows for simpler, faster filtering without complex joins.
For PPC professionals, this means faster analysis, cleaner dashboards, and less maintenance overhead, especially when working with large-scale, multi-source reports.
