Google Updates Personalized Ads Policy for Healthcare Professional Targeting

Google has made two administrative updates to its Personalized advertising policy, clarifying how ads can target healthcare professionals in their professional capacity:

  1. Health-Sensitive Interest Category
Now explicitly excludes content directed at healthcare professionals. This change is effective immediately and does not alter the existing restriction on targeting users based on sensitive health conditions.
  2. Restricted Drug Terms Category
Will also exclude professional healthcare-directed content starting July 1, 2025.

These updates clarify policy scope but don’t introduce new targeting permissions for consumer audiences.
