No Changes to Google’s Healthcare Ad Policy on Opioids

In June 2024, Google planned to update its health care and medicines policy to allow advertisers to discuss opioid painkillers without promoting or selling them. 

However, due to implementation challenges, Google has decided not to proceed with this policy change. 

The current policy, which restricts advertisements related to opioid painkillers, will remain in effect.
