Google Merchant Center has introduced a “Sale Event” promotion type, currently available for Free Listings in the U.S.
Unlike traditional promotions that link to specific products, “Sale Event” promotes broad offers (e.g., “All items up to 70% off”), streamlining the setup process.
Marketers can activate it from the Promotions page by adding sale details, dates, a URL, and images.
This feature, simpler than standard promotions, could make it easier to advertise general sales across shopping placements, potentially boosting visibility for larger sales campaigns.
