Smart default as a new targeting setting

Yu-Rong Roovers has uncovered a new targeting option named ‘Smart default,’ now recommended by Google alongside the existing ‘Targeting‘ and ‘Observation‘ methods.

The official support page for targeting settings is not reflecting this yet.
