Reach Planner Adds Weekly Frequency Suggestions

Reach Planner Adds Weekly Frequency Suggestions

Google Ads has updated its Reach Planner tool with average weekly frequency suggestions for YouTube media planners. As of October 2026, users can now adjust their media plan to align with recommended frequency benchmarks directly on the Reach Planner page. This update includes an example optimal exposure level, noting 2.7 times per week as effective.

The new feature leverages Customer ID to infer vertical data, recommending adjustments when a plan’s forecasted frequency is below the vertical’s benchmark. For accounts without a specific vertical, a global average is provided. While Supported across most formats, this feature does not apply to Target Frequency and Demand Gen campaigns.

Users can either automatically apply suggestions via a Suggestion Card button or manually enter a custom frequency target. These updates appear on the plan page, with results displayed in the topline scorecard and campaign line items table.
