Bumper Ads Redefined as 5 to 6 Seconds Long

Google has redefined the specifications for bumper ads through recent changes on the official Google Ads help page. Bumper ads, now required to be between 5 and 6 seconds long, used to be labeled simply as ‘6 seconds or shorter.’

This adjustment impacts creative teams producing ads shorter than 5 seconds. The help page update specifically notes that bumper ads are non-skippable video ads with this new length duration, which play before, during, or after another video.
