Performance Max Adds Channel Prioritization Controls

Google Ads Performance Max channel settings interface showing channel prioritization controls including Discover, Gmail, Google Display Network, Google Search, Search partners, Maps, and YouTube with adjustable conversion priority slider set to Auto with a target CPA of $150.00

A new feature for Performance Max campaigns enables advertisers to adjust channel priorities based on their business importance.

This Alpha allows advertisers to control how conversions are prioritized across channels, including Search, YouTube, Gmail, and more.

Priority sliders can be set from Low to High, influencing CPA bid adjustments for each channel when using tCPA bidding. Lowering a channel’s priority will lead Google Ads to increase the CPA bid for that specific channel, giving advertisers more control over Performance Max campaign performance.

Adjustments are available for the following channels:

  • Search
  • Search Partners
  • Discover
  • YouTube
  • Maps
  • Gmail
  • Display

This feature gives advertisers more control over how Performance Max prioritizes different channels.
