Performance Max Introduced Theme Library

Google has expanded the Apply theme to asset group feature in Performance Max with a new Theme Library. When the feature first appeared in March 2026, Google showed advertisers a single theme linked to the next major occasion. Easter appeared first, followed by Mother’s Day about a month later.

Now, advertisers can access a broader collection of seasonal and cultural themes throughout the year instead of waiting for one event specific suggestion to appear.

The feature uses AI to create new asset variations while keeping the original asset group unchanged, making seasonal planning and creative testing.
