Google is rolling out Merchant Advisor, a new AI-powered chatbot integrated directly into the Google Merchant Center.
The tool aims to assist merchants by providing personalized guidance for setup tasks, troubleshooting issues, and improving account optimization.
Currently in beta, the Merchant Advisor feature proactively recommends actions, such as configuring a returns policy to complete account setup.
This follows a previous mention of this prepared feature in a Google Ads Decoded podcast episode focused on retail.Â
Although the feature is in limited release, plans are for broader accessibility as part of a strategy towards deploying AI assistants across Google marketing products, following the introduction of Google Ads Advisor and Analytics Advisor.
Merchants focusing on feed optimization can now have an always-on helper for enhanced support throughout their journey.
