The protocol serves as a common language that AI agents use to communicate, establishing the foundation for driving business outcomes in the AI web.

For advertisers on Shopify, the Shopify Catalog integration with Copilot automatically structures, enriches, and syndicates product data in real time, giving agents access to accurate pricing, inventory, and product attributes without requiring merchants to build custom integrations.Enhanced Visibility and Shopping Tools.

Additionally, Microsoft is expanding its Copilot Checkout by enabling transactions directly within Copilot while keeping merchants as the merchant of record, growing its catalog to over 500000 merchants, extending availability to Copilot mobile apps, and introducing customer loyalty experiences such as account linking that unlock benefits like exclusive discounts and free shipping at checkout.

These experiences are live in the US today, with onboarding available via the Agentic Commerce site.
